Pahrump Fire was dispatched for a one vehicle accident, with a vehicle vs. a block wall.
Dec. 21, 2019, Winery Road, Vehicle Versus Structure
-
Pahrump Fire was dispatched for a vehicle versus structure. Upon arrival, crews found that a vehicle had left the roadway and into a house.
-
The vehicle was located deep into the house and almost to the rear exterior wall.
-
Due to the extensive damage to the structure, it was deemed uninhabitable pending repairs.
Dec. 18, 2019, Hwy 160 Injury Motor Vehicle Accident

Pahrump Fire was dispatched to a two vehicle accident with injuries.
-
Crews found the accident as described. A second Medic was added to the assignment with two patients transported to the hospital.

Dec. 11, 2019, Hwy 95, mm 34, Fatal Accident with Entrapment

A multi-agency dispatch was initiated for a fatal accident with several people trapped and a vehicle afire.

Upon arrival, crews found the accident as described, Car-1 assumed Command and assigned Rescue and EMS Groups. Mercy Air was also added.
Dec. 8, 2019 N. Linda, Water Rescue
-
Pahrump Fire was dispatched for a Water Rescue Assignment during a torrential thunder storm.
-
Upon arrival, crews found a disabled vehicle in rising waters with two elderly people trapped within.
-
Chief Lewis (Car-1) established Command and assigned Heavy Rescue 1 to Water Rescue Group.
-
The Rescue Group anchored off of Car-1 and made their way to the vehicle.
-
The rescue was completed without incident and there were no injuries.
Dec. 6, 2019 Gally Road, Structure Fire.

Pahrump Fire was dispatched for a working structure fire.
-
Crews arrived and found fire showing and through the roof of a two story, single family dwelling with exposures...

Crews commenced an interior attack and quickly controlled the fire with no further extension.

Responding apparatus included Car-1, Engines 4 & 5, Tenders 2 & 3 and Medic 2 (RIT).
November 26, 2019, Hwy 95 mm 40, Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident

Beatty Fire Department was initially dispatched for a fatal motor vehicle accident with one vehicle on fire, and others entrapped.
-
The initial location was inaccurate; therefore, Pahrump Fire was dispatched and responded with Car-1, Heavy Rescue 1, and Medic 5.
-
Crews arrived and found the accident as described. Unified Command was established and two Mercy Air Helicopters assigned,
-
Pahrump Heavy Rescue 1 led the Rescue Group with Firefighters from each responding department.
-
The extrications were completed without incident.
November 13, 2019, Motor Vehicle Accident, Rescue Assignment
-
Pahrump Fire was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident, rescue assignment.
-
Crews arrived and found a one vehicle rollover with the driver entrapped.
-
Crews extricated the patient while Medic 5 crew prepared to provide care and transfer to Mercy Air.
-
Mercy Air was launched to the scene with the Landing Zone established on Hwy 160 to the rear of Heavy Rescue 1.
November 11, 2019, Murphy St. Structure Fire
-
Pahrump Fire was dispatched to a smoke investigation which was quickly upgraded to a structure fire.
-
Crews arrived and found a well involved single-wide trailer with numerous exposures.
-
Crews commenced an exterior attack while protecting the closely located exposures.
-
"A" Platoon Captain Moody was assigned to OPS and Chief Lewis had Command.
-
Crews controlled the fire with no further extension to the exposures.
-
Extensive overhaul was required. There were no injuries and the fire began from an unauthorized controlled burn.
October 30. 2019, Dyer Road Structure Fire
-
Dispatched for a working structure fire with unknown status of the occupants.
-
Crews arrived and found heavy fire at the center of the house. Crews completed a quick knock down from the exterior then moved to the interior.
-
Crews controlled the fire with no further extension. There were no occupants; however, several dogs perished in the fire.
-
Pahrump Fire Rescue and a Deputy State Fire Marshal investigated.
October 27, 2019, Structure Fire
-
Crews arrived to find smoke showing from the roof of a one story quad-unit apartment building.
-
Crews commenced an interior attack and found fire within the walls and the attic.
-
The fire was quickly controlled with no further extension.
-
The initial response included Car-1 (Command), Engine 1, and several Medics.
October 21, 2019, Motor Vehicle Accident, Rescue Assignment

Two vehicle accident, head-on collision on Hwy 160.

Crews extricated two and transferred care to Mercy Air

October 16, One Vehicle Rollover Accident
-
Pahrump Fire was dispatched to a one vehicle accident with possible entrapment.
-
Crews completed a scene size-up/risk assessment and found no entrapment.
-
Crews transported one to the local hospital.
October 2, Structure Fire involving a Gazebo
-
Crews were dispatched for a structure fire. They arrived to find a large gazebo on fire.
-
The fire was quickly controlled with no extension.
October 2, Loop Road Commercial Structure Fire
-
Engine 1 and Tower Ladder 1 set up at the front of the building. Crews found an advancing fire in the attic space.
-
Crews stretched supply and attack lines and quickly controlled the fire with no further extension.
-
Portions of the building were re-opened later the same day.
-
Pahrump Fire was dispatched for a commerical structure fire. Upon arrival, cres found smoke showing from the roof.
09/24/19, Fatal MVA, HWY 95, mm 18
-
Pahrump Fire was dispatched for a two vehicle accident involving a car and a motorcycle.
-
Crews found both the auto and the motorcycle on fire with one fatality.
-
Crews quickly extinguished the fires and Medic 5 (PVFRS) transported one to Trauma.
-
Pahrump Rescue Engine 1, Medic 5 and Car-2 responded.
09/24/19, Structure Fire, Basin/Linda
-
Pahrump Fire was dispatched for a structure fire extending to a mesquite grove.
-
Upon arrival, Engine 1 found a fully involved trailer used as a fixed-structure.
-
Crews quickly controlled the fire and ensured no further extension.
-
This was the first structure fire for Pahrump's recently received 2019 KME Predator Engine.
September 14, 2019, Structure Fire, 700 East Wilson
-
Pahrump Fire was dispatched for a structure fire with people trapped.
-
Within minutes, crews arrived to find a fully involved heavy timber structure previously used as stables.
-
The fire was discovered on the former Binion property. After entering the complex, Engine 2 found a second well-involved structure.
-
Crews laid a 5" supply line from the Ishani Ridge development and commenced a defensive/exterior attack with large lines and appliances.
-
Heavy fire conditions, heavy timber construction, and numerous exposures hampered firefighter efforts.
-
The second building continued to burn into the early morning hours.
-
Firefighters controlled the fire with no further extension.
-
The fire is suspect in nature and under investigation.

August 28, Mutual Aid, Motor Vehicle Accident

PVFR was dispatched on a mutual aid assignment into CA for a one vehicle rollover with injury.
-
Upon arrival, crews found the vehicle off of the roadway with significant damage and no entrapment.
-
Crews assessed, packaged, and transported the patient to the hospital without incident.
August 24, Structure Fire
-
Pahrump Fire was dispatched for an unknown type of fire located well off of the closest roadway.
-
Command was established and Brush 2 was assigned to investigate.
-
Crews found two fully involved fifth wheel trailers used as fixed structures.
-
The fire was quickly controlled with no extension. The fire is suspect in nature and under investigation.
August 20, Simkins RV Park Fire
-
PVFR was dispatched for a vehicle fire. While responding, crews were notified of an RV park on fire.
-
Crews arrived and found heavy fire involving three trailers used as fixed structures with exposures.
-
Engine 1 had a 5" supply line from a nearby hydrant and commenced a Defensive Attack with Master Streams.
-
Crews quickly controlled the fire with no further extension to the exposures.
-
The investigation revealed an apparent accidental fire from use of a welder. There were no injuries.
August 18, Retread Structure Fire
-
Crews were dispatched for a structure fire.
-
Crews arrived to find fire showing from a one-story, 1.5 car, detached garage.
-
Crews quickly controlled the fire with no extension. There were no injuries.
August 17, Two car MVA with injuries
-
Crews were dispatched for a two vehicle accident with unknown extent of injuries.
-
Crews arrived to find the accident with significant damage to both vehicles.
-
The investigation revealed no entrapment; however, one patient was flown to trauma and 3 others to the local hospital.
August 14, Hwy 160, MVA Rescue Assignment
-
PVFRS was requested for a mutual aid assignment two vehicle accident.
-
While responding, crews were informed that the accident involved a p-up truck that struck a gravel truck from the rear.
-
The assignment was upgraded to a Rescue adding Fire Chief Lewis and Mercy Air 7.
-
The trapped occupant was extricated via a door removal and dash displacement.
August 2, Brush Fire near Kellogg and Vicki Ann
-
Crews were initially dispatched for an unknown type fire. Upon arrival, they found a mixed-fuel brush fire.
-
The wind swept fire quickly extended the fire through mesquite and salt cedars.
-
Flame lengths approached 20'-30' in height.
-
Command was established along the East Flank.
-
Responding agencies included Pahrump Fire, NDF. BLM, and US Forest.
July 28, Homeless Camp Structure Fire
-
PVFR was dispatched for a structure fire in the homeless camp.
-
Crews arrived and found a fully-involved travel trailer used as a fixed-structure.
-
Crews quickly controlled the fire with no extension to other camps.
-
Crews overhauled the area and found all occupants accounted for.
-
Responding apparatus included Engine 1, Brush 2, Car-1 (Chief Lewis) and Medic 1.

Chief Lewis investigated.
July 28, Head-on MVA, Mesquite and Hwy 160
-
Crews were dispatched for a two vehicle accident with two unconscious patients.
-
Upon arrival, crews found a head-on collision with significant damage and scondary impact with a light standard.
-
The second vehicle continued off of the roadway.
-
Responding apparatus included Car-2 (Chief Lewis), Heavy Rescue 1 and Medics 5,3, & 1
-
Mercy Air 21 landed at the scene and flew one patient to Trauma.
July 22, Loop Road, Cooking Fire
-
Arriving crews found a strong odor of smoke and an audible fire alarm from a second floor apartment.
-
They forced their way in and found an unattended cooking fire. The fire was quickly controlled and the apt ventilated.
-
Responding apparatus included Car-1 (Chief Lewis, IC), Engines 1,3 & 5, and Medic 1.
July 19, Vehicle Fire
-
Upon arrival, crews found a fully involved truck with extension to a mesquite grove.
-
The mesquite grove fire was wind driven and further threatened other mixed fuel brush.
-
Crews quickly controlled the fire with no further extension.
-
Crews completed suppression and the investigation revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen earlier in the day.
July 17, Structure Fire, Mary Lou Street
-
Pahrump Fire Rescue was dispatched for a structure fire with an initial report of a working fire.
-
Crews arrived to find fire showing at the rear of a vacant three story dwelling, The fire was quickly extinguished.
July 17, Vehicle Fire, Hwy 95
-
Pahrump Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle fire on Hwy 95.
-
Crews arrived and found a mostly consumed passenger vehicle with no exposures.
-
The fire was quickly extinguished without incident.
July 15, Brush Fire, East of Hwy 160
-
The fire was visible for miles.
-
The fire was observed by the Fire Chief from Fire Station #1 before any 911 calls were received.
-
Upon arrival, crews found an approximate 1+ acre mixed fuel brush fire
-
The advancing fire was difficult to access as there were no roads in the area.
-
Brush 2 anchored at the heel of the fire while handcrews worked the flanks.
-
The fire was 100% contained within 40 minutes after arrival. Remnants of a homeless camp were found in the center.
July 14, Structure Fire, Bridger Street
-
Upon arrival, crews found fire showing with extension onto the front porch.
-
Crews commenced a quick knockdown before moving to an interior attack.
-
The fire self-vented in several areas,
-
The fire was placed "Under Control" approximately 20 minutes after arrival. One occupant was medically assessed.

July 13, Manse Road, Single Vehicle Accident
-
The single vehicle accident occurred in the morning hours and was initially obscured from the street.
-
The scene size-up/risk assessment revealed no entrapment; however, the driver was transported to the hospital.
July 10, Three Vehicle Accident at Basin and Lola.
-
Crews responded to a three vehicle accident with unknown extent of injuries.
-
Despite minor injuries, no occupants were transported to the hospital.
July 6, West Venus, Structure Fire
-
Upon arrival, crews found a travel trailer fully involved with extension to a Conex container
-
Despite two venting propane tanks, the fire was quickly controlled.
-

Upon arrival, crews found the vacant trailer fully involved.

Shortly after arrival, the structure failed.

May 26, Manse Road, Motor Vehicle Accident, Rescue Assignment

PVFRS Heavy Rescue 1 crew stabilized the vehicle and began extrication while Medics provided care.

Upon arrival, one story, double-wide manufactured dwelling.

Heavy fire throughout the dwelling with all occupants accounted for. One occupant was injured and transported to the hospital.

May 5, Squaw Valley, Structure Fire

Crews arrived to find heavy fire conditions at Division A.

The fire rapidly spread across the front of the double-wide, manufactured dwelling.

After a quick knock down, the fire was placed Under Control with no further extension.

May 4, Oakridge Road Vehicle Fire

Upon arrival, crews found a fully involved passenger vehicle off of the roadway into a large debris pile.

Upon his arrival, Chief Lewis found the wind swept fire advancing further into the debris pile.

Engine 1 arrived and was assigned to Suppression Group with the Medic Unit and Tender supplied.

Engine 1 crew quickly controlled the fire with no further extension.
